A FINE LINE THE WALTONS

D/G/D/G
D G
Maybe this doesn't mean a thing
D G A
Maybe it's just a stupid thing to think
G A
About all of these awful things in life
G
While I'm alright here
D G A
Nothing bad ever comes here or grows
G A
Out of the flat young lands of home
G D / G
Just never leave and sure you will grow old
D / G
We'll grow old

Maybe I don't know a thing
Maybe it's just a stupid thing to think
About all of these awful things in life
While I'm alright here
Nothing bad ever comes here or grows
Out of the flat young lands of home
Just never leave and sure you will grow old
We'll grow old

D A G
I've got my rights to be me
D A G D
I've got no fights to displease my soul
A G
Will never know this dis-ease

D G D G
Of standing in a line, a firing line
D G Em /A
Standing, waiting in a line, wasting my time

Maybe I should learn some things
Maybe it's it's time I learned some things about
All of these awful things in life
While I'm alright here
Nothing bad ever comes here or grows
Out of the flat young lands of home
Just never leave and sure you will grow old
We'll grow old

I've got my rights to be me
I've got no fights to displease my soul
Will never know this dis-ease

Of standing in a line, a firing line
Standing, waiting in a line, wasting my time

D G Em A
It's not too late
D G Em
It's not too late to say

Then straight into the Chorus again......

End with D/D/G/G

I think if you change this to the following chord (I'm not sure of the
notation), I think it sounds better.

e 3
B 3
G 2
D 0
A 0
E 3

Use this chord after every D chord (leave the G after the A)

I think this may sound better, but that might just be me.
