U2 - "exit" Tablature
Official U2 Tablature & Sheet Music »
From: mbosb1@MFS02.cc.monash.edu.au (Mark Osborne)
Subject: U2 - EXIT (live version)
This, as opposed to the version archived at NEVADA is closer to the
live recording as performed on the 'Rattle & Hum' video. If anyone knows how
to post to NEVADA, could they please do that to this posting.

**Strumming pattern for rhythm shown above**
The effect can be gained by holding the pick with only about 1
millimetre clearance between the pick and the index finger. Instead of
actually plucking, hit the string at about a 45 degree angle - don't worry
if the string doesn't really sound, Edge doesn't seem to. What you're
basically doing is thumping the strings for all they're worth, and
expecting a far from clean sound.
-If more help is needed on this, such as "what the hell is this guy
talking about", mail me, and I'll be happy to oblige.
