Thin Lizzy - "Rosalie"
Mercury Records Ltd.
B.Seger/Lynott/Downey
-------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed By: Leanne Harte (gharte21@hotmail.com)
This song was originally recorded by Bob Seger but made
famous by Thin Lizzy and they do a really good version
so I decided to tab it. Hopefully this works out OK as
it is my first tab. Any comments or questions feel
free to email me at the address above. Thanks.
h - hammer on
p - pull off
b - bend string up
r - release bend
/ - slide up
\ - slide down
v - vibrato
x - muted

(d) - Downstrokes
INTRO:
--------
This riff is used throughout the song. When
playing this riff, I keep the
shape of the A and then add on my 3rd
and 4th finger. When I play the A shape, I just play
the power chord of A using one finger.

This next part is kinda like an intro to the verse. It's
played fast enough, just listen to the song and you
should get it pretty fast.

Ok, this part is exactly the same as the above part but
instead of repeating twice we go into this:
-0---0---2---2---0---2---2---2---2---2---0-|
-2---2---3---3---2---3---3---3---3---3---2-| And that whole
-2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2---2-| part is repeated
-2---2---4---4---2---4---4---4---4---4---2-| twice.

e|-x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x---x-|
(d) (u) (d) (d) (u) (u) (u) (d) (u) (d) (u)
As you can see the chorus is the same as the intro. After the
chorus you go right back into the verse, but this time
without the little intro before it. In other words
the singing starts straight away here.
BRIDGE:
--------
A E A E
D A D A D A E
Down on me, Rosalie, Shine on me will you please...
SOLO:
------
Then the solo comes in. I haven't yet tabbed the solo, but
I do know it's played mostly in the 17th fret and around
there. When I work it out I'll post it up, or if anyone
else knows it please do.
Well that's pretty much the song. I have left out a part
in the middle that Thin Lizzy do live, I haven't tabbed
that bit yet either, but it's mostly bass as far as I know.
Just before I finish up I'll just put down where to play
what. Hopefully it helps.

At this point I play the pre chorus and chorus again and then
finish but as I said before there's another bit which I haven't
tabbed and I think that comes in next. But you can work it out
for yourself if you listen to the cd.
