Hello everyone in Nevada...here comes a message from the East Coast!
Anyways, I'd like to upload a text file to your ftp site.
to /pub/guitar/Cure
it's called TheWalk.bass, and is barely 1K long...
Now, it says when you login in to make special arrangements, so
what special arrangements should I make?
Since this file is so short, I am just including it in this letter,
to save everyone's time, so you can just put it in the FTP
directory. Thank you very much!

cut here -------------------------------------------------
The Walk, by The Cure. It's on about a zillion different albums...
Ok, The Walk is a really easy song to play...you just
follow the progression, playing octaves up the yin-yang,
and make neat-0 noises with the keyboard...
here is the verse:
- --2-2-0-0--------
- ----------2-2-2-2
0--0-------------
- ----3-3-0-0-0-0--
A G E really simple, huh?
here is the chorus...still playing all octaves...
- -2-2-5-5-7-7-7-7
- --------0-0-0-0-
0-0-3-3---------
- ----------------
and now the neat part...that crazy melody
it's actually played on keyboard or guitar,
but it sounds neat, so here it is:
9-10-12-9-7-9-5---7-7-7-7-5-7-5-4--
- -----------------------------------
- -----------------------------------
- -----------------------------------
I suppose you could split it up onto different strings,
but why bother? I think it's more fun this way...
hahah This is just the first in a series that I'll be
making...For more fun, come to WPI, where this sort
of shit is happening everyday...
