This is pretty much it. I know the bassist in Static - X
uses a 4 string in dropped C but i find that if you take a
four string and pur on strings for a 5 string and keep the
guitar in the standard tuning for a 5 string; unless youre
planning to play slipknot of KoRn you can play just about
without havving to tune your guitar again.
