Let it Grow / Michael Dunford - Betty Thatcher
----------------------------------------------
Performed by Renaissance, from Ashes are Burning (1973)
Yuck! This song is so sticky! Bahhh! - but I did transcribe the chords. Maybe
the F# is actually F#6, I'm not sure. Some A are A7, I suppose, but I didn't
bother finding it out. Have fun, hope your fingers won't stick to the strings.
Intro:
Piano: E / A
E / A
E / A
E / A
1st Verse:
E F#
Taking time to find the right line
E F# (through G#...)
Taking easy with the thoughts you want to share
A E A B
Leaning down, feel you growing in my mind
A E A B7
Stealing down, going down, feel you growing in my mind
Chorus:
E A C E
It's got to be slow, talking love the only way
A C
It's got to just flow, making love and taking
D E / B / E / A
time to let it grow
2nd Verse: (same chords)
Finding ways to find the real you
Spending days just holding hands and feeling free
Play around, watch the sunshine coming through
Come around, stay around, watch the loving grow with you
Chorus: (same chords. At the end, the piano plays along with "grow", and
repeats the chords sequence twice:)
E / B / E / A
E / B / E / A
3rd Verse: (same chords)
Loving you the love you give me
Living loving with the things we have to share
Poetry, hear the words you say to me
Stay with me, here with me, keep our loving flowing free
Chorus: (This time the piano at the end repeats the sequence four times:)
E / B / E / A
E / B / E / A
E / B / E / A
E / B / E / A
Choir goes la la la:
E / A / B / A
Repeat till fade....
----------------------------
Any ideas, mistakes found, corrections, greatful thanks or requests are
welcome.
