Song: My Name Is Mud
Tabbed by: Nat Carsten (carsten@mtnweb.com)
Originally performed by: Primus
This is a pretty basic song. You must remember that it is in 4/4 timing
though! It does sound like it's in 12/8. but it's not! The bass drum in
this song sounds a little like a double bass pedal, but it's really just a
mix of reverb on the bass drum and Les' bass.
Code:
SD=Snare Drum
BD=Bass Drum
HH=Hihat
o=Open Hihat
Part 1:
o o o o o o o o
HH: 1n1n 2n2n 3n3n 4n4n
SD: nn1n n2nn nn3n n4nn
BD: 11n1 2nnn 33n3 4nnn
Part 2:
HH: 1n1n 2n2n 3n3n 4n4n
SD: nn1n n2nn nn3n n4nn
BD: 11n1 2nnn 33n3 4nnn
Part 3:
o o o o o o
HH: 1n1n 2nnn 3n3n 4nnn
SD: nn1n n2nn nn3n n4nn
BD: 11n1 2nnn 33n3 4nnn
Part 4:
SD: nn1n n2nn nn3n n4nn (Personally, I just like to roll on my floor tom for)
BD: 11n1 2nnn 33n3 4nnn (this part. (instead of the bass drum.) )
Song Structure:
1) REALLY LONG silence.
2) Part 1 (4x)
3) Part 2 (10.5x)
4) Part 1 (8x)
5) Part 2 (9.5x)
6) Part 1 (6x)
7) Part 3 (2x)
8) Part 1 (8x)
9) Part 4 (5x)
Pretty strange song structure there, but worth the figuring out. Add your
own fills, rolls, and crashes as you go along and you'll be fine.
