This is my first post of TAB so I hope it works out. I like
this song a lot. It's a nice tune that sounds rather classical.
I got it from Peter, Paul, and Mary off the Movie C.D. (I think)
the riffs just repeat throughout the song. You may split them up
and use two guitars... and play both on one.. (that's what I do) If
anyone wants the words I can give them to you.. mail me. The song
is called, and I don't know how to spell it, A'Soalin Cake
(something like that :)
E----O---2---3-2-O---O---2---3--5--7---O---2---3-2-O---O---2---O--O
B--O---O---O-------O---O---O---------O---O---O-------O---O---3---O-
G------------------------------------------------------------------
D------------------------------------------------------------------
A------------------------------------------------------------------
E------------------------------------------------------------------
That is the main upper riff... here's the lower one:
E------------------------------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------------------------------
G------------------------------------------------------------------
D----2---O-----------------------------2---O-----------------------
A------------3-2-3---2---O---------------------3-2-3---O-----------
E----------------------------3--2--O-----------------------3-2-O--H
12
Now you can mix those two so it looks something like this:
E----O---2---3-2-O---O---2---3-5-7---O---2---3-2-O---O---2---O---O-
B--O---O---O-------O---O---O-------O---O---O-------O---O---3---O---
G------------------------------------------------------------------
D----2---O---------------------------2-----------------------------
A------------3-2-3---2---O-------------------3-2-3---O-------------
E----------------------------3-2-0-----------------------3-2-O---H-
That final harmonic is on the 12th fret. I hope you can make
sense of this. I don't know how to show the fingering I use.. but
I pick the top reps with only my index finger (when doing both
parts) and use my thumb for the bottom riff. The positions I use
with my left hand are all index and middle finger and then thumb on
the 3-2-0 bottom E (You'll find that's a stretch to hit 2 and 5 on
opposite E's.. but it's not that hard at all... and once you play
this enough.. it's second nature.. and basic rythym...
The lyrics are kind of Christmas-like.. so look them up or mail
me.
Thanks for all you guys that are posting T. Chapman, L. Cohen,
and all the other great music. I love this group and nevada a
lot!!
