PEARL JAM - "footsteps" Tablature

Official PEARL JAM Tablature & Sheet Music »

From: CECARMAN@MIAVX1.ACS.MUOHIO.EDU
Subject: TAB: Footsteps by Pearl Jam

Notes: This is my first transcription, so forgive my mistakes. I tried to be as accurate as I could. If you want an idea what this song sounds like, listen to Temple of the Dog's "Times Of Trouble", because the guitar part is basically the same except for a D in the main riff rather than a G and a different ending chord in the chorus (where Cornell hangs on "trouble...."). This is a really good song, and I hope it gets onto Pearl Jam's new album, which they are recording right now. On the Jeremy CD sing
le, it's just Eddie singing and Stone playing an acoustic guitar.

Play the main riff 4x with variation on 4th time.
Play Bridge 2x into Chorus
Play Chorus 4x with variation on 4th time.
Then play main riff 4x with variation 1st time as Outro:

--------------------
--------------------
-------------------- Just change the G to a D the first time only.
-------0------------
--------------------
--1h3-----3---1-----
----

I usually like to end it on a G chord like xx0003 (low to high), because the missing lower notes gives it a more delicate ending if you use a ritard.
