This is a great song to play live. It’s got a great beat and it’s not difficult at all.
I think that Nickelback recorded this in drop D tuning, but I play it this way in normal tuning and it sounds fine.

Heavy “breakdown” part and ending
The “3’s” on the D string are optional, I usually just bar across all three and use my ring finger to hit the
“5” on the A string. It’s probably just the E and A strings, but adding the D makes it sound a little fuller.
