MISC CHRISTMAS - "auld lang syne" Tablature

Official MISC CHRISTMAS Tablature & Sheet Music »

From: ahorgan@minerva.cis.yale.edu (Alec Horgan)

The words are by, I believe, Robert Burns. Please check me on this. Some
English poet, anyway. I ain't an English major. I don't know who
originally set it to music, but here goes:

Auld Lang Syne

F C7
Should old acquaintance be forgot
F Bb
And never brought to mind
F C7
Should old acquaintance be forgot
A Dm Gm7 C7 F
And days of auld lang syne

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o'kindness yet
And days of auld lang syne

The original poem has another verse, but nobody ever sings it.

Special bonus (because I don't want to go back to studying yet): Melody tab

e-----------5---------5------5--8--10--10--8--5-5----------5------------
b---6--5-6-----8-6-8-----6-6----------------------6--8-6-8---6-------6--
g-5------------------------------------------------------------7-7-5----

e-10--8--5-5-----------10--8--5-5--8--10--10--8--5-5---------5----------
b------------6--8-6-8--------------------------------6-8-6-8---6-------6
g----------------------------------------------------------------7-7-5--

Play with a wah-wah and very heavy distortion; it sounds cool, really.

Happy new year to you all; I'm going home for break (assuming I survive
exams), so I shan't be posting for a while (now, now, don't get too
upset).

Corrections, improvements, good karma welcome as always.

Alec
