Sarah's best album to date is Fumbling Towards Ecstacy. The third track from
Fumbling, "Plenty", is in the key of Gm and fades in after about thirty
seconds of play w/drums and a thumping bass line. The time is 4/4. Start
with the Gm chord in the tenth position on the neck, as graphed below, then
just follow along. The rhythm is very free flowing, so listen closely to the
CD, let the chords ring out during play, yet semi-funky because of the texture
of the high-end strings, typical of James Brown ("Sex Machine") or Tower of
Power ("Squib Cakes"). Be careful not to hit the upper strings though! Use
the fat of your palm under your pinky finger and hold it lightly against the
top three strings to prevent the top strings from sounding. Otherwise, if you
are one of the few people who don't own this album, go out and get it, crank
it up, light a few candles, and let Sarah's amazing voice take you far and
away...

That's the song! Very simple! Questions? comments? Please e-mail me but
title your e-mail appropriately. I'm on America Online so I get lots of mail.
Title it as "Re: Plenty" or "Re: Sarah McLachlan".
