Limp bizkit - Take a look around (MI2 theme)
This is the way I play it. Evreyone I played it to says it sounds right so I guess it does. (I play it with my samick 5 string guitar- normal tuning, Wes Borland plays it with his 7 string ibenez or maybe it's even played with bass guitar).
h = hold
e----------------------------------
B----------------------------------
G----------------------------------
D----------------------------------
A------------10h12-----------------
E-12-12-12-12-----12-12-12-12-10-11
JUST MAKE SURE:You play it clear tone. Where it says 10h up there do play the A string's 10th fr. But just hold it until after playing the 12th (of the A string) so it makes the right effect. Hear the song you'll know what I mean :}
The next part is a bit trickey - practice a little & you'll know it perfectly (I figure it's played with distortion though I'm not sure)
r = let it ring a short while
e-8h11---10---09---11---------------
B-----------------------------------
G-----11r--10r--09r--11r-11-11-10-10
D-----------------------------------
A-----------------------------------
E-----------------------------------
VERY IMPORTANT: Keep holding the e string (1st string) at the 8 fr. For the entire part! :}
The first part and the second part are played by different guitars at the same time.
I reckon The part where Fred Durst starts singing "now I know…" is
played with power-chords + distortion and goes:
e------------------------
B------------------------
G------------------------
D-4-4-4-4-7-9-4-4-4-4-2-3
A-4-4-4-4-7-9-4-4-4-4-2-3
E-2-2-2-2-5-7-2-2-2-2-0-1
It gets louder after "…is all the world has even seen lately"
I'm sorry but I couldn't check exactly how many times each part/riff is played since it's the middle of the night & everyone's asleep.
HAVE FUN. ROCK RULLS! :}
