This song is a good example of blues playing in the Standard Box position
in the key of A. Many standard ACE playing cliche's, like: Trilling, Unison
Bendsand the Chuck Berry Riff!!! Ace plays off of the chord tones very well
but his phrasing makes this solo work. I've transcribed the solo pretty well
except for the end lick, which sounds OK the way I do it. Pay attention to
the first bend and release in the solo, since it takes the right phrasing
and release to play with the song. The song also employs Clean Acoustic
guitar throughout. This gives the rhythm parts alot of depth. Ace has
said he used alot of clean guitar in the KISS tracks placed low in the
mix to give it a full sound. Another cool part is the Whinnie in the ending
licks, which is simply an artificial harmonic picked near the neck pickup.
