Ice Cold Ice
by Husker Du
Track 5 on "Warehouse:
Songs and Stories" and
Track 5 on "The Living
End"
Tabbed by Ben Hollis
If you've heard this song
you will already know
that you need to use as
much gain/fuzz/whatever
as you've got. Don't
worry too much about
the tabbed bits in
the verses, the sludge
should cover them up.
All the chords are fifths,
let ring where
appropriate. At many
points in the song
you can play either
single notes or chords
depending upon what
you fancy. If you're
playing as a band
the bassist can play the
root and the guitarist
the fifth if you want to
be lazy.
I've tabbed this in
normal tuning, but drop D
may make it (even) easier.
If you want to do an
acoustic (!) version of
this the full chords are
Am, Bbmaj, Cmaj, Dm,
Fmaj, Gmaj, instead of
fifths
