Title : Right Here In My Arms
Artist : HIM
Album : Razorblade Romance
Tabbed by : Michael Hippe
Re-tabbed by : Graham Bucci
Standard tuning (E A D g b e)
~ - hold/let ring
The intro I^Òve included isn^Òt right. It sounds right, but the way it is actually played didn^Òt sound right to me so I just figured out a different way to play it that sounds respectable and is easy to play. I^Òll include both versions but I can^Òt get the correct one to sound right.
The way I^Òve tabbed this it kind of makes it so you need two guitars, one to play the chords and one to play the intro in the background.
I know not all the notes are shown in each of the chord but that is simply because you only play the strings with numbers and don^Òt play all the way through.
This is the ^Óright^Ô way to play the intro...
[use a set chord and let notes ring]
e|-----------7--|-----------7--|
b|-----0--------|-----0--------|
g|--------4-----|--------5-----|
D|--7-----------|--7-----------|
This is my version...
Intro
[set Am chord]
e|--------------|
b|-----0--1-----|
g|--2--------2--|
D|--------------| [x8]
A|--------------|
E|--------------|
there is a pick-slide on the sixth or seventh repetition but you would have to get a second guitar to do the slide since the intro is played 8 times continuously.
Pre-Verse
[intro continues to play in background]
Am Cm Gm E Am
e|-----------------------|
b|-----------------------|
g|--2~--5~------1~--2~~--|
D|--2~--5~--5~--2~--2~~--|
A|--0~--3~--5~--2~--0~~--| [just play this once]
E|----------3~-----------|
then there is a simple pick-slide into the verse. The keyboard plays a little riff at the end of each line of vocal, like after ^Ódown on earth^Ô and ^Óit hurts.^Ô
When Ville begins the third line (^ÓAll her wishes...^Ô) the intro starts to play in the background until the pre-chorus
Verse
Am Cm Gm E
e|--------------|
b|--------------|
g|--2--5-----1--|
D|--2--5--5--2--|
A|--0--3--5--2--|
E|--------3-----|
Pre-Chorus
Am E F
e|-----------|
b|-----------|
g|--2--1-----|
D|--2--2--3--|
A|--0--2--3--|
E|--------1--|
[start the intro again for the chorus]
Chorus
Am Cm Gm E F
e|--0--0--0--0--1--|
b|--0--0--0--0--1--|
g|--2--5--3--1--2--|
D|--2--5--5--2--3--|
A|--0--3--5--2--3--|
E|--0--0--3--0--1--|
[there is a pick-slide leading back into each verse]
in the second verse the intro is played through the entire thing, from start to finish.
The solo is kind of impossible to play because in the recorded version, they recorded something then they played it backwards, so if you really want to play it you can figure it out yourself.
This song can also be played using bar chord but that involves a lot more hand movement that I^Òm too lazy to do.
I^Òll try to upgrade this tab when I have time but right now I don^Òt have the time...
