To anyone who subscribes to Fingerstyle Guitar: issue #6 has a nice
piece by Ed Gerhard, "The Handing Down". However, you may have a
difficult time playing this piece as written. It seems they neglected to
mention the tuning! It is EADEAE.
After trying the tab, which didn't seem right, I tried the standard
notation and found that the two didn't match. Sent them a postcard and
they somehow tracked down my office phone # and told me the problem! Kudos
for their efforts at calming down a ranting subscriber!

Thanks for the info, Jon. I noticed that the TAB/Notation
didn't match and found no tuning reference in the preceding
text.
I thought that just the TAB was screwed up and assumed
standard tuning. I read through the first few lines of
the notation this morning and found that the tune is playable
(so far) in EADGBE.

P.S. Nice live take of Renbourn's Little Niles, eh?
