SONG: My Sacrifice
TUNING: E a d g b e
I started tabbing this song and went online to see if I was
on the right lines, but all the songs were in dadadd tunings.
Anyway I finished it in standard and I’m pretty sure it’s all
correct, but you can see what you think. I think the guitarist
plays it in the dadadd tuning, but this sounds perfect enough
to me. Please notify me of any corrections etc. @ nathanu_project@hotmail.com
Enjoy!
INTRO (RIFF1): There’s some kind of flanger effect in the clean electric,
which then changes to a more acoustic sound in mostly the same
effect. Listen to the song, and try to match the sound. To play
the intro I play barred chords, obviously picking them first for
the clean electric, and strumming for the acoustic bit. E.g the
first chord is D barred on the 5th fret. You’ll need to listen
for the timing and strum pattern. I’ve showed what chord to hold
in brackets so you know where you’re goin, but obviously don’t
play that!

VERSE (RIFF2): At the end of the intro there’s feed back that fades in.
Now on the recording there’s obviously two guitars, but you
can change quickly and still get it in, but it’s fair enough to
leave it out. You play this riff once before the singer comes in,
and then the rest of the verse, although exactly the same, is
slightly quieter. You’re mainly concentrating on the top 3
strings eg Ead. I’ve got the gain right up. You’ve gotta make the
slide pretty suttle. I don’t even slide my hand down, I just kind
of roll it back, and just concentrate on the top 2strings this time.

The 577555 in brackets is to show you where you slide up from, to
go to the chord 799777. You just slide your hand along the strings,
but don’t depress any strings. This is used quite a bit during
the song, so listen out for when and how much. The same is the
case with the symbols / \ . just slide your hand along the strings.
