Blue Moon Revisited (Song for Elvis) - bass
Cowboy Junkies

From: gilmour_d@hotmail.com

There's a bass line tabbed out in the "crd" file, but I could never get it
to
sound right using the notes the tab suggested. I looked all over the 'net
for
a proper bass tab, but I couldn't find one. I got sick of looking and
figured
it out last night, so here it is:

E ------------------------------------------
B ------------------------------------------
G ------------------------------------------
D ------------------------------------------
A ------------------------------------------
E -/--8-8/---5-5/---1-1\---3-3\-------------
and repeat that line as the need may be (I think it's for the intro,
choruses, solo and outro)

during the verse, there's another variation
E ------------------------------------------
B ------------------------------------------
G ------------------------------------------
D ------------------------------------------
A ------------------------------------------
E ---8-8---8-5-5--5-1-1--1-3-3--------------
and it's played sort of staccato, but some of the notes do ring out. If you
listen to the song, it shouldn't be too hard to put it all together.

Also, the "crd" file seems to suggest that the guitar plays four chords
throughout the song, but the guitar is actually limited to fills and the
solo.
