COHEN LEONARD - "Hallelujah" Tablature

Official COHEN LEONARD Tablature & Sheet Music »

PROPS GO TO: Travis

I'm new at the guitar, so I transposed this on piano and double-checked my work with a chord wheel (those transposers you buy at music stores). The first post here was right, but it was in the wrong key. The second post... well if you've heard the song and tried to play by that, you know what I mean. Here are the correct chords.

C Am
I heard there was a secret chord
C Am
That David played and it pleased the Lord
F C
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
C F G
It goes like this the fourth, the fifth,
Am F G
the minor fall and the major lift
G Am
The baffled king composing hallelujah
F Am F C G C
Hallelujah... Hallelujah... Hallelujah... Hallelu...ooo...jah

You strum each of the first four strings of each chord in order, and back up again as the next chord change permits. So the first line would be like this:

C Am
-----------------------------
---------1-----------1-------
-------0---0-------2---2-----
-----2-------2---2-------2---
---3-----------0-------------
-----------------------------

Best Wishes,
Travis
