Hallelujah
Written by Leonard Cohen
>From the album "Grace" by Jeff Buckley
There is a .tab version of this song available under the filename hallelujah.tab. The chords were included, though not in context, so I thought it might be handy to some players (myself included) to have the chords and the lyrics together in order to help with changes and timing, as is the general style of the ChordPro format.
This, in my opinion, is the best song on the album. I love it.
Here goes:
C Am
I heard... secret chord
C Am
That David... pleased the lord
F G C
But you... care for music, do you
C F G
Well it goes... fourth, the fifth
Am F
The minor... major lift
G E Am
The baffled king composing hallelujah
F C Am C G C
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah ....
Etc. This same pattern is used throughout.
Tabbed by Danny Buckley, November 4, 2002.
This is the author's original work.
"Pray for rock."
