Black Blade, recorded originally by The Bue Oyster
Cult from the album Cultosaurus Erectus
this is a very rough tab by Ben G. and this is all my
original work
This is my first ever written effort I will clean it
up and make it easy to understand but a person with
some chord knowledge
should not have too much trouble with this. I dont
have a tabbing program and i'm lazy so i tried to
explain
with just words the best i could
the intro to the song is F C F 2 times done as full
major chords I liek to play them on the 8th and tenth
fret
the versus are alternate root fith picking patterns of
C F D G as power chords. on the 8th and
tenths frets of the 6th and fifth strings.
the first intulude between the choruses "it howls, it
howls like hell" is the same as the intro
the repeat as in the first verse.
for the chorus F C F C Eb D F C
F C Eb Eb
The there is a solo which i like to do in a C blues
scale
the chords for the chorus are the same as the intro
except for a little fill riff i cant seem to get
coming out of the solo ther are a few measures of a
bass solo for which the chords are D E
after the solo is a 3 note riff interlude which i play
on the first string like this
- 2 (hammer on )3----2----3 I think its just played
over a bass line implying a C chord.
after that is a verse for which the chords are C F D G
played by a keyboard
but then played in the same pattern on guitar as the
first verse.
the next chorus is played like the first chorus
the song ends with the key board effects with a D
chord strummed once every major till the end of the
song.
