"Pick Up the Pieces"
artist:Average White Band
album:AWB(Atlantic Records 1974)
transcription:Dan May/DBMay75@aol.com

This Scotland band's classic funk/r&b instrumental was #1 on the pop charts
and #5 on the r&b charts in October 1974, just two months after the album's
release. I can't dicipher exactly how many guitars were used, but
nevertheless, I've listed all parts for both guitars, starting with the left
channel. Naturally, depending on your string gauge tone of your amp, you can
shift certain parts to different positions(particularly the A section for gtr.
2 can be played on the A string/1st position instead of the E string/6th
position). I haven't learned to write rhythm patterns on here yet, so if you
don't have the CD handy to play along with, go out and get it. Enjoy!

Those are the parts! Pretty simple stuff, but fun. As always, if you have
questions, comments, whatever, please e-mail me but address your e-mail as
"Re: Pick Up the Pieces" or else I won't receive it. Thanks.
